Do you want to make money?

Do you dream of being self employed and working from home in your own time and making a lot of money? You don’t have to hate your job to dream of an easier life. Just being sick and tired of sitting in the traffic twice a day and missing out on all the important events in your kid’s life while you are slaving away at your job is enough to make you want to change. Don’t you really want to start making money for yourself instead of for your boss? But what can you do and how do you go about it?

There are various options:

  •  A small retail business used to be a favourite one. You need a lot of money to get started and the right location for your business to have a chance. Unfortunately a lot of small businesses go belly up within their first year and gone is the hard earned cash.
  •  Investing your money in stocks or real estate. All good and fine if you have money to invest in the first place. Even then it’s normally a long term endeavour and you are unlikely to be able to life of your earnings soon. It’s a risky business on top of that. You have to know what you are doing and at least with real estate you can easily end up working all weekends to fix things and maintain the property.
  • Starting a business in your trade. That’s similar to the retail business and if you want to be successful you will have to put in plenty of hours, be the first one there and the last one to go home.
  •  Network marketing – hey – that’s an idea. You can start the business in your spare time. Depending on which company you join the initial outlay is marginal. If you like talking to strangers and are prepared to work hard for a few years, network marketing might be the right medium to achieve your goal of a freer life with a good deal of passive income. Richard Kawasaki seems quite taken with network marketing
  •  Last but not least there is Internet Marketing for people who don’t like asking strangers to buy their products or join their marketing team.

We’ll discuss more about the pros and cons of Internet Marketing in the next post.
